Sports Night: Episode Twenty-One
March 10, 2008 01:04 AM PDT
If Long Beach is truly the city of champions, this week proved it. The Sports Night crew rounds up all of the city's goings-on, including one regional state champ, two national champions and two National Players of the Week. With all of this local success, why do some of the city's sportswriters choose to write about Bill Walton and WW2? We don't know either. Check out all of the games you can't miss this week, including our Game 'O Da Week and an invitation to Get On Da Bus! Plus our top five stories off the field and the worst warm up music of all time! (Also, go to http://stations.espn.go.com/stations/710espn/story?id=scsa2008 to vote for Jasmine Dixon in 710 ESPN's High School Female Athlete Of The Year Poll. At this point, we really don't know what else she has to do to prove it) Sports Night... ...right now! |
Podcast SummaryWe're a bunch of guys that won't shut up about sports. The program began at Long Beach State's weekly newspaper and lives on even after graduation. We employ resident experts (and sometimes just our buddies) to answer the big questions: Is that QB helmet sticker green or yellow? Do sports commentators have better memories than goldfish? And is there anything on Earth better than Long Beach sports? (Green, no, and no) About SportsNightThe famous Sports Night podcast makes its triumphant return to the airwaves with its partnership with LBPOST.com. J.J. Fiddler, Mike Guardabascio and Ryan ZumMallen began the program as writers with Cal State Long Beach's Union Weekly newspaper. But as the hosts graduated from college, so too did the program - from the office of a student newspaper to the primetime. Fans of this ShowFavorite LinksSportsnight's Friends
